I have been a studio potter for the past 17 years and enjoy making pots that will be used on a daily basis. Although my work is rooted in functional ware, I strive to create aesthetically pleasing, quiet, yet sturdy forms that have a presence of their own.

I enjoy the physical nature of wet clay and I am amazed each and every time I sit at the potter’s wheel by the endless possibilities of form that awaits me. I love to create pots that feel good, look good, and function well and have a place of purpose in the hands of its user.

I am a true believer that there is great value in creating handmade objects. This ideology was instilled in me while growing up in a household where the act of creating was a prominent notion. My pottery is a tactile artform that calls out to be touched and handled. And ultimately, it is this human connection between the maker and the user that continues to keep me engaged and centred.

My natural surroundings impact my work and living alongside the beautiful Kaministiquia River gives me ample inspiration to create with clay. I love what I do!  Clay is a large part of my life and my passion! It is my hope that these sentiments translate into the pots that I make.
